I'm currently an undergraduate at the University of Sheffield, suprisingly studying chemistry. I adopted the Chemistry Wiki on 21st October, 2006 after it had lain untouched for some time by its original creator(s).

I'm currently aiming to get a page up for each element before moving onto actual concepts and chemicals etc.
I want to do this as quickly as possible, so there is some basic framework of content from which the rest of the wiki can be built, in order to do this I'm having to resort to copying the element articles directly from Wikipedia[1] these articles (for the vast majority at least) have reached featured article status and as such represent some of the most comprehensive information on each element.
Direct Use of Wikipedia ArticlesEdit
At the risk of sounding hypocritical, direct copying of articles and content from Wikipedia should be kept to a minimum. However if you do decide to do this (for example for an element page), please ensure that you use the Wikipedia accreditation template created by Rieke.
This may be added by typing {{Wikipedia|''Insert article title here''}}. The resulting accreditation will look as below;

Wiki LogoEdit
I'm currently looking for any suggestions for a suitable replacement for the standard wikia logo, this will be displayed on each page in the top, left-hand corner and as the icon in internet browsers.
Any suggestions would be welcome and gratefully accepted, please upload all suitable logos and post them on this page.
