Uranium

From Chemistry

Uranium is a silver to gray, metallic Chemical element of the Actinide series of the Periodic Table of the Elements. It is Atomic number 92, with the symbol U. Naturally, Uranium atomss occur as Uranium-234, Uranium-235, and Uranium-238. Uranium-238 decays and has a Half-life of approximately 4.7 billion years. During decay, it emits an Alpha Particle. Uranium is used in many things ranging from Nuclear Power Plants, to weapons and armor. Uranium-235 and artificially created isotope Uranium-233, are used in nuclear power to nuclear weapons. Depleted Uranium(Uranium-238), is used in armor plating for things such as tanks and kinetic energy penetrators.
