The Spectral Game is a fun web-based spectra interpretation game. Each round a player is presented with an interactive spectra displayed using JSpecView and a few molecules to choose from. If the player selects the correct molecule that matches the spectrum, they get a point and move on to the next round. As your scores increases the game get progressively more difficult. The game ends when you select a wrong answer.

Since JSpecView is used to render the spectra, expanding peaks simply requires dragging the mouse across the area of interest and the game can be played with in various spectral modes including H NMR, C NMR, IR, NIR, etc. The spectra and molecule structure images are provided by ChemSpider's Open Data collection of spectra. Contributions of spectra to Chemspider are welcome and don't forget to check the box for Open Data.
