Thallium (atomic symbol Tl) is element 81 on the periodic table. It is a poor metal.

Thallium is extremely toxic and corrosive, not to mention it's also present in small amounts in cigarettes along with lead and cadmium.² Exposure to thallium can cause thallium poisoning, which consists of damaged Central Nervous System, skin and eye irritation, and birth defects.¹

ApplicationsEdit

Thallium is one of the most toxic elements on the periodic table, but that doesn't entirely limit its applications.
