Cobalt is an element which has the atomic number of 27 on the Periodic Table of the Elements. Cobalt is an elemental mineral, or an element that, by itself, can form a molecular structures with multiple atoms and molecules. It is a very common material in other elemental minerals such as Lead, Copper, Iron, Nickel, and Silver, thus trace amounts may be found sometimes in compounds of the listed elements. Prolonged exposure to Cobalt is dangerous due to airborne particles of this element which can be inhaled.
